Coach/ Teacher Bio

Diana taught Creative Writing at Great Neck High School and Berkshire Community College.  After moving to New York, she built a private coaching practice.  In 2004, she was hired by the Writers Voice at the West Side YMCA where she taught Story Structure, Playwriting, Master Playwriting, Memoir and Dialogue-Writing; and screenwriting at the Brooklyn YMCA.  Diana originated the screenwriting curriculum at Dowling College on Long Island.

As a brand guru, Diana teaches the lucrative business of copywriting to aspiring writers.  Diana recently launched her Carpentry of Writing School with courses offered in Manhattan and at Gumbo in Brooklyn.  Diana is working on the book Carpentry of Writing that will bring her method and tools to a wider audience.  She is Director of Writer Programs at Theatre Resources Unlimited where she shaped and teaches the popular Practical Playwriting Intensive; and she is guest lecturer to the Writers’ Group at New York Women in Film and Television.
